How much time has gone by ?

OMG

I realised that its been a whole long year

since I last made a post on here.

My son is now 8 and is doing so well in school.

My daughter is now 6, and also doing so very well in school.

As for me,
My whole life has changed in a year.
I am now Seperated from my husband,
almost divorced, another thing that takes
almost a year to do.

I live in my own place, with my children, they

visit there dad every day and most weekends are

spent with him.

We are lucky enough to go away on holidays and

weekends to Great Yarmouth.

I am happier now, I know that one day

the hurt wont be so bad,

and I will be able to remember good times.

So now I am on my own,

loving the independance.

And being the best mum I could be ever x

My goodness... How long has it been??

Hello all my Blogging friends....
I am sorry to see that I have not been one
here for a very very long time.
Christmas was great, though very quiet.
Sinced then we have been through
8 birthdays.... not one card made just for that
person!
I have been using cards I had already made, that were in my box.
I have not made anything new apaprt from a card for my daugter!
I hope to get crafting again reaql soon,
I have had to move a lot of things around in my house.
So I hope a new place to sit and craft will inspire me.
Also I have been a very lucky girl to have a lap top computer.
So I have taken time to get it all working right and wireless too.
I will be BACK again real soon with some fresh stuff to show you.

Been a while....

Its been a while, since I last blogged,
I have been busy with Christmas prep.
Many other jobs too....
So crafting has come very low in my list of things to do.

This message is for a new friend of mine.
You know who you are,
I am looking forward to 2009
when we can get together again.

Look what lovely goodies I got today!

I had a lovely surprise this morning from Claire,
I had been lucky to win some of her lovely
pass it forward candy!
This is what I found, a super purple wallet.
Inside were all the goodies below,
Some stamped images, none I have myself.
Some foil, florists ribbon and some
narrow black and white ribbon.
Now I will be thinking of what to offer on my blog,
Watch this space!
Plus I still need to do some
blog candy for my blog anniversary last August!!

New Award....

Joanne
aka Bubbles had this award
and was passing it onto everyone.
As I didn't have this one on my slide
on the right hand side.
I decided to add it to my blog,
I know Joanne is a regular visitor to my blog.
So I hope it was ok that I shared it out.
Now I need to think of who I would like to pass this on to,
I don't know how many people to pass this onto so I choose :
Sally
Jo
Frances
Claire
Bumble
I hope you all like your award, cos I do love your blogs!

Recently in magazine.

I was recently in Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine,
all about our recent crafty buys.
I had bought some Arty Farty Templates
and wrote about those.
Here I am pictured with my children on our
summer holiday.
A couple of days ago I was lucky to get my wonderful gift
for being in the feature!
Below is a picture of my lovely goodies
23, 12 x 12 papers and 6 sheets of matching
stickers.
I got some lovely fairy pages and stickers,
just what I love and great to use for my daughter.
I had also bought some items through Ebay for carfting,
the seller contacted me saying they had just read about me
in the magazine... I said yes that was me.
The feedback I got made me smile,
wonderful to deal with an almost famous person!!!
FAME at last ;-)

A bit of fun...

You are The Empress

Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents,
beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home
decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.

We DID IT!!!!

Trace (My Sister), Kiaya(my Niece) and Myself all completed our Race for life!
I say that as though its a big thing, well to us its a big thing, considering,
Trace has a bad back, arthritis and other problems.
I haven't walked so far since my back surgery last june, and I have athritis too.
Kiaya (trace's Daughter) is fitter than us both!
It was soooooo WET! the puddles were like rivers, the mud was like thick GLUE, and we all got soaked through to our skin, it was the worst possible night to do it.
I finished in 1hr 10mins, Trace & Kiaya took 1hr 30mins.
Kiaya wouldn't leave her mums side and she ended up so very cold she was given a blanket and foil to keep her warm.
The Support staff, actually supported Trace all the way around and walked her right to the finish line. She said without them she wouldn't have made it.
We both used walking sticks, I know I would have ended up on my backside without it!
Kiaya is ok, a little sore but ok.
Trace is in pain and having trouble walking.
ME... I am in big trouble, back, legs, feet, hands are all sore! I need a holiday!
Thanks to those that sponsored me, it means the world to me....
Plus Hubby said last night in bed when he gave me a hug.... His mum would have been proud of me!!! I cried!

So much for thinking I was giving up!!!

As my friends had kindly pointed out... not to give up! LOL,
the thought came right out of my mind.
I have booked a table in My son's school summer Fair!
So, out came my beading and a load of cards that
were ready to sell!
I now have 4 boxes of different cards, and a selection of
beading made and being made.
The fair is a week tomorrow!!!!
I will take some photos of the day and show them to you.

Race For Life

On Wednesday 9th July I will be doing the Race for life at Coombe Abby Park.
This could be the final year I will do this, as I have been suffering
so much with pain in my back and now my feet!
I do this race in honour of my Mum in-law who died of Cancer
2005, the same year my Daughter was born.
My Mum in-law fought Cancer for 5 long years.
PLEASE PLEASE sponsor me, there is a link on the top of this page on the
left hand side. I would love to raise around £100 but if I could raise more
then that would make my last time even better.
I also wish to remember a dear Neighbour Arthur Goldsmith,
who sadly passed away earlier this month.
Wish me luck, I may just come in last... but at least I will do my very best.
Thanks

Is there a time when you just give up?

Is there a time when you just give up?... ...
I guess thats how I am feeling just now,
that maybe I should sell everything crafty
and give up on trying to make anything.
I have even stopped visiting my beloved crafty forum
because I feel out of it.
I haven't touched my desk in days,
even weeks now.
Im not giving up YET!
But its been a thought in my mind for a long time.
I have been spending time playing around in Facebook,
I feel at home there just playing and having
a laugh.
I am still Alive and kicking... really!
just not as active.

Got some results!

I have been having tests recently and found out my results today.
I have the start of rheumatoid Arthritis, I was kind of expecting it,
as family members also have it!
The scans show its the start of it, I had a injection today
and have to go back to hospital on
Monday to sort out the drugs I will be on.
Just something else I have to
live with, I am sure I will get used to it and
have good and bad days.
Here's to the future!!

I am Crazy!

I have been busy today trying to arrange my lounge,
the main reason is I have a desk I can use to craft on and
I thought why not make use of it,
instead of using up the dining table for a change!

My mind is willing but my body sure is not!
I have to get Steve to lend me a hand and move some stuff!

One day I will craft again!

A Question for all Bloggers??

I would like to be able to protect my pictures with a Water Mark...
copy right protection.
Could one of you lovely people out there guide me and help me out?
I would be most grateful!

Finally we had a super birthday Party!

Here are some pictures of my sons Birthday.
This was on his Birthday,
that evening is when I got ill.
We did his birthday cake in the afternoon,
just the 4 of us, it felt very strange.
Here is his second birthday cake from the following
weekend when we got a chance to celebrate with
the family.
He had more gifts to open from his Aunties & Uncles.

And the cake below is from his Birthday Party
with his school friends and cousins.
Again he was very lucky and got given some more
lovely gifts.
Here are my two lovely children before the party began!
If you look you can see that 'Mater' Card I made him.
That is actually the last time I made anything. And here they both are again... having fun!
The party was fantastic, all the food went down a treat,
the children enjoyed the party games.
They all loved the goodie bags they had to take home.
I am so pleased that the party was a hit,
and the fact that my son enjoyed all his birthday
celebrations.
Not bad really knowing that his party lasted three
weekends!
