WW2 Bomb found in Coventry

I can not believe the news this evening.

Its been reported that a WW2 bomb

was found on a building site in the city Centre.

Coventry was blitzed a lot during the war

as we had many factory's that were targetted.

At the moment Our City Centre is closed,

until the bomb squad have delt with it.

Its very strange to know that the whole of our city centre

is shut!

I wasn't so far away from there yesturday!

The bomb is about 3 miles away from my home.

Thats too close for me.

I hope and pray all the people working on it now

stay safe and return home to their Families.

Sweet Sugar Nellie Challenge # 3

Challenge # 3
Use the colour scheme black, white and pink.
Here is my Sugar Nellie card.
She has sparkle paint on her trousers.
I wanted to make her a little different so
added pink to her hair!
Hope you like my card.

For some blog Candy!

Marlene is giving some candy away on her blog,
you have to make a card, LO or anything with the colour green
and ribbon included.
Here is my attempt at a card with green,
and ribbon.
The Edwin has been painted using my Marvy pens and
some paints that are a cheap version of H2O's.
I got them from the works.
They give a lovely sparkle effect,
though I am not sure you can see it well on the photo.

Simple card

Here is a simple card I made last night.
For my SAS ( Sending a Smile)
I don't normally show them but I just loved this Butterfly.
I have been spending time painting more stamped
images.... but never did get all my rabbits finished!
I have to take a break now, I have just got a new pair
of reading glasses.
I have to take time to get used to them!

Poem .... can it be true?

Mondays child is fair of face,
Tuesdays child is full of grace,
Wednesdays child is full of woe,
Thursdays child has far to go
Fridays child is loving and giving,
Saturdays child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.
This is quite an old poem.
But I do like it!
My son was born on a Sunday
My Daughter was born on a Saturday.

Daring Card Makers

Take A Break
Hello everyone, it's Mel here again!
Welcome to our new dare - 'Take a break!'
The dare involves creating a card incorporating a tea bag or coffee satchel
- just perfect for days when somebody may need a quiet rest and break.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you all create for the dare.
Here is my take on the Challenge, just a shame
I wouldn't be able to send a cake a-long with it!
Have a Cuppa on me !

Easter Bonnet (HAT)!

Easter Bonnets (Hats for BOY's)
Its never easy is it.... but here is my attempt
at keeping my son Happy!
Did you know??
An Easter Bonnet is a type of hat that women and girls wear to Easter services,
and in the Easter parade following it.
The Easter bonnet tradition derives from "olden times"
when people dressed up every Sunday to go to church.
Ladies purchased new and elaborate designs for particular church services,
and in the case of Easter,
taking the opportunity of the end of Lent to buy luxury items.
ON the 19th March my son will take part in
the Easter parade at school.
So here is my effort for him,
I used an old cap as a base.
It looks so cute on too...
though the teeth can get in the way!
I would love to know what you all think of it?
This is only my second time at making a hat!
