ny2008 Glitter Graphics From GlitterYourWay.com

End of the Year!

Its the end of 2007.... I do hope 2008 is a better one!
This year has been a tough one for me.
February I had surgery on my left hand, it cured the problem.
April the hell began with my back, sciatica!!!!
I was unable to walk, sit, lie down or sleep!
I suffered for 8 weeks, until I paid for a private scan.
June 2nd I had surgery on my spine removing a disc.
It took 11 weeks for my scar to heal though the sciatic pain had stopped.
I will always have a bad back! but I am sure its got to be better, than it used to be!
2008 has to be a better year!

Just been asked!

I have just been asked to make up another beading order. My first since Christmas time!!!
Another reason to get my crafting on the go again! I am thrilled to know that past customers wish to come back to me. I know I have a couple of bracelets to make, though I am waiting for confirmation.
I will show you all my makes when I am in the flow! I have made a card!!!

A Strange few days

Its been a strange few days, always is just after Christmas. I have the urge to make something crafty, but don't know what.... Its probably because my craft goodies are all put away, that I am unable to be inspired to do anything. I know its going to take me a while to get everything out that I want to work with. Maybe that's the reason I am not into my crafting just yet! I will work on getting some bits out to play with and then I hope to be inspired.
Its time for me to claim my crafty space again and begin being productive.

Lovely Christmas day.

We have had a super Christmas Day.
The children have loved it and loved all the presents.
They both have a drawing desk, so it means I don't have to share the big table now!
I will be able to have all my crafting goodies out again in the next couple of days.
I am looking forward to making some new items.
Playing with my new things.
I wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I am in Print!

This is a letter I sent into Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine.
All about how much their craft forum has kept me going though
all the high's and lows this year!
It reads...
' I wanted to let you know how much the Cardmaking & Papercraft forum has helped, inspired and supported me. Whenever I am stuck for ideas or need advice, someone has been there for me, inspiring me with new cardmaking ideas and teaching me new styles and different techniques.
Everyone on the forum has also been there for me during my recent back surgery. I was sent many loving and supportive messages, get well cards and even a bouquet of flowers! I've also made friends across the world, including from the Philippines, Australia, Spain and Germany!
I've been given the confidence to help others learn new techniques.
I'd be totally lost without the forum in my life - the friends, the love and support.
We cry together, we laugh together and we celebrate life together. Thank you so much for giving me the chance to become a part of a very big happy family.

the comment said: This is so lovely to hear, Kerry. I'm so glad you find the forum therapeutic! It's great to know our readers are establishing friendships through our website.

Not Blogged for a while...

Even though I have not blogged for quite some time,
it doesn't mean I haven't been busy!
I have been making some new Bag charms,
and some great new earrings.
My best friend came yesterday and saw a pair I was wearing,
she didn't believe me when I told her I had made them.
She then went home with two new pairs of earrings
( I made them while she watched)
Plus a bracelet for her daughter!
This morning I was busy watching my son's second Nativity.
This year he was a star, my daughter wanted to join in,
but doesn't start nursery until next September
Here is my little 'STAR'
It was lovely to see him so confident.
Hannah was great, sitting quiet all through it, and applauding people at the end!

Some more Beading.

Here are some more of my creations.
The one below is for a small adult, another of my nieces.
The earrings below are for my Mum, yet another pair!
She will have so many to wear.
The pearl in the middle of the bottom row is a lilac colour.
Below is another pair, this time for my lovely sister Trace.
I made these ones after the ones above and did not copy them at all.
I have already wrapped mum's up!
Trace's ones have a purple pearl in the middle. I have been meaning to make a white pair for ages.
Never getting around to it!
Well now I have, I think these look great. My final lot of beading to show you,
is a white Handbag charm.
Its another of those things I have been meaning to make.
I will be selling these on ebay, if I get any interest.Below are some hand crafted boxes.
I bought some to begin with and then thought I can make some.
So out came the holographic card.
I think they look great,
though the flash has not shown them to their best!
I have some pink beads made up ready to go,
lets see what they make? !

Check out my Slide Show!

I have added a new Slide show showing off all of my crafting,
please go to the bottom of the page to see all my work in one place!

Gifts and beading!

This is a child's size bracelet for my niece, a Christmas gift.
This one I have called sun, moon and stars.
Below is another child's bracelet for my other niece.
It has a silver charm that says wish on it.
This is my favourite colour... I love making handbag charms.
The silver charm says 'Be yourself'
The brown handbag charm is just one I have made to sell.
Below is an adult bracelet, though I was asked not to put too much on it!
To me it looks half made!
Here is a different style necklace, I think it works well.
The pendant is made with glass beads and silver heart.
These earrings are to go with the necklace.
These are glass beads too.

My most recent work

These are another order for my husband to take to work.
They had to be black but different.
I hope they like these ones, the ones below have a parasol charm at the end!

Wednesday 5 December 2007

Look what my fantastic dad made.....

Look what my fantastic dad made for us!
This wonderful Advent box.
There are 12 doors on this side and 12 on the other,
I have wanted a wooden box like this for ages for my children.
I had to decorate it, and number the doors.
Dad made the stable and Mum bought the ornament stable and kings.
I added a picture in the back of the wooden stable.
My kids love it, we are able to put two chocolates in
each door so they share it between them.

Not feeling like myself!

I am not sure whats wrong with me... but I just don't feel like myself!

I think I have lost my crafting bug for a while.

Not a shock with the rate I have been working at!

I have got so much to organise for Christmas, and no energy to do so.

Oh well my moto this year is, if its not done then that's it!

I am not going to stress about stuff, I have had enough to deal with this year.

I will just enjoy my children's excitement about Christmas.

One bright thing for me to look forward to is the UB40 Concert on the 20th,

So looking forward to it.

Thursday 29 November 2007

I also made this for a gift...

I fell in love with this image and decided to use it as the main
feature for a notelet set for my niece, as a Christmas gift.
I also added some contrasting silk flowers.
Below is how the notelet folder looks on the inside.
I have done 10 pages of matching paper.
I hope she likes it, I had always thought of her as 'cute'!I am so pleased with this finished folder, so pleased that a forum
friend Joanne (Bubbles) took time to show us all how to make it.

Some FUN Cards

I wanted to make something totally different to the other cards I have made for Christmas.
These ones are a bit of fun and should make people smile.
I love the penguin below, really cute.
Rocking Robin! The cute Santa looks great with the parcel paper background.I just love these two great snowmen.
The one below has a cute snowman background,
and a folded front to add interest.

It was nice to make something different to all the fairies and polar bears.

Wonderful Christmas Card

Here is the fantastic Christmas card from my sister Trace (aka Spackandee)
Look at all the detail on this card.
The stocking, the Christmas lights, the clock and mirror the mini cards
which are all different!
The wonderful tree with Fab star, and the gifts!
The time it must have taken to make all of these wonderful cards.
Mine are so plain!
Trace, I had to show it off, I am so impressed with your work.

My first Chritsmas card...

My wonderful sister Trace came round to visit us this evening...

I had no idea why.... Well she gave us the most amazing Christmas card!

I know its still only November, but she said she didn't wish to be late...

I will photo it tomorrow when the light is better,

and show you all her wonderful work.

Yet she always says that I out do her all the time!

As if it is a competition between us?

I don't think so.

I know for a fact we share ideas all the time!

Its been a busy few days...

I have been busy decorating some items my wonderful dad has made for my children.
Two mini boxes that I have personalised for my son and daughter.
I will show them to you at some point, but cant do it while both little ones are around.
Also I have been decorating a wonderful wooden Advent box.
My dad made again for my children. Its been taking up most of my time.
It still has work to do and I will show it when I have finished it.
Below are some padlocks and key charms I have put together, to sell on ebay.
I wanted to do this ages ago, and only just got around to it while I was waiting for things to dry.
Below is another set of mobile phone charms,
the one below has a silver charm saying be yourself.
The one below is actually pink!
The flash wiped all the colour out of it!
It looks great in real life.
The purple one is actually a glass bead with a pink rose on both sides. The red one below is an order from Debsy off the CM&PC Forum.I love the red ones, they really stand out!

Sunday 25 November 2007

More new things to show you...

Here is another new item from me,
I thought these could be used as a bag charm,
or even on a key ring.
I also thought the little men would be great for the boys in our lives!

As they are so light weight I think they will still work as a mobile phone charm.

Another bag charm.
The one above is a little special... possibly a one off!Another fun little man.The one above is a great green butterfly mobile phone charm.Another pink one.And a special red one.The red one above has a cluster of bells,
though they do not jingle.
The one above is for an order, made for a young man.I really like the lemon one.
That's the last one made this session.
I have listed some of these for sale on Ebay,
this is the first time I have tried to sell them away from the CM&PC forum.
